Me and a friend want to go to Rhodes for a week in September, from about the tenth. We’re on a tight budget. Can anyone recommend a basic but reasonably decent hotel or apartment (we want a room each) in Rhodes old town or Lindos? Also, which is the best budget airline to use, flying from Bristol, Manchester or Heathrow? Alternatively a good package deal could work out cheaper, if there is any particular company you can recommend. I’ve browsed a little, but I’m struggling to find anything particularly cheap.

Try now, and begin urgently.I am from Rhodes, and youi cant believe what i suffered to book to some friends, since everything now it is stop sales..So i found in individual appartments.Try with a big tour operator, and it is not necessary to go to Lindos, there is als the centre, because Lindos is overcroweded and 60 km away from the centre.And very hot.But begin searching it now, it is difficult for Rhodes, we are ful 100 per cent till October..

This year you will be hard pushed to find a cheap hoilday, the awful weather in the UK has led to a significant rise in people going on holidays abroad, especially to destinations like Spain, Italy and the Greek Islands.
I personally have always found Jet 2 to be a good budget airline, perhaps you could try them.
Try teletext if you have it you can get lots of travel companies on that with deals. Have you tried web for hotels in these places as often you could go direct with them and get a separate flight.
I was having great difficulties finding a holiday to Rhodes too.
In the end I gave up looking online and went to the high street. Still some travel agents had nothing for me (at all, not just to the greek islands!). Going places had a few left with olympic holidays though and they weren’t all bad prices either.
If you have the time, it might be worth your while checking with them.
