I am planning an overnight stay in the CBD in Melbourne at the beginning of Feb as it is a special occasion do the hotels ever offer last minute deals to fill beds at nice hotels e.g. The Windsor or Stamford???

If you contact some directly at the last minute and they have a room available then you may be able to swing a deal, there is a list of hotels in Melbourne http://www.localbusinessguide.com.au/vic... give some a call and find out!

Yes check out http://www.wotif.com.au leave it for a week or so before you book. It’s tennis time at the moment but feb should have some better bargains. you can sometimes save up to 70 %
