Hi i am going to alcudia in 2 weeks, and ataying at the hotel jupiter. LAst minute deal so not too bothered but does anyone know what its like. Also what are the prices of the cigarettes in majorca. And overall is it cheap or not so for thing like going out in the night etc. ANy info appriciated as haven’t been to majorca for ages and not this part at all.

Going later on in they year to the sister hotel of the Jupiter – heard it is a bit like Butlins in the son. Cigarettes are cheaper than here, think they are about 26 Euros for 200. Don’t know if Majorca is cheap or not but I have an all inclusive deal
Blackpool in the Sun. Loads of shops sell ciggies, cheap booze etc. It rained the whole week when I was there so it may be better in the Summer
i was there in july 06 it was very very hot, lovely beach and lots of outdoor places that cook your food outdoors too, food was really the best and very reasonable, we were able to buy 20 cigs in the machines in the pubs for two euros a pack,they were the same as benson and hedges. we were able to get fags the same as marlboro 200 of them for 18 euros in the ciggie shops.
it was clean and nice and hot…. we stayed in the belleveue it was a nightmare too dear and far away but the main strip has lots of good pubs check out the english chippie tradewinds great grub to soak up the beer, also the irish pub jokers.
they dont do live music.
but the rest of the the pubs all do karkoke so jokers will be a wellcome escape.
the beach is fab watch out for jelly fish seems to be a lot of them.
overall i would go back it was a nice place.

Alcudia is nice, lots of canals, so u get the odd fly!! i reckon the prices are pretty similar to most of spain. Not that much different from Uk. I think cigs are about 30 euros. thats uk cigs. lots of brits, british bars. home from home if thats what u want.
