Comments on: 22 Hour Drive… Need Advice, Tips, Etc?

well i have never done it with 2 kids either but i think is a good idea to start at night so they can get some sleep, obviously you will take more than 22 hours to get there cause you need to make frequent stops to take the babys out of the car and feed themetc. have you consider an airplane?

If u left during their nap time that would be easier on u guys because they would sleep for a while.
It depends on their mood 3 yr olds can get fussy.
I would leave at 8pm since u’ve had really good odds with that before. OR leave at their bed time!

i would say do it at night when the kids will be sleeping for most of the trip it will just make easier for everyone involved. plus you miss out on traffic and at night there isn’t as many cars on the road making it smooth sailing

I have done travel with little ones a lot. Usually I do it at night because they tend to sleep. Its easier on them and on you as the parent. I also normal bring cd’s that are comforting to them so that they seem to sleep better while I drive and they are more at peace. I would suggest that you do the traveling at night if possible I believe that would be the less stressful for all involved.. Good luck on your trip..
